20 April: Hasting Boys' High School starting well

Last year's beaten Top 4 finalists Hastings' Boys High School have started 2017 on a winning note,  Beating Auckland's Saint Kentigern College 15-5 on Thursday, their third win in the past eight days.

14 April: Waicol First XV eyes tougher tests

New Wairarapa College first XV rugby coach Garry Smith is a realist. While pleased with the way his team performed in their 41-10 win over a Argentina’s San Patricio Rugby Club under-18 side at Memorial Park on Saturday morning he knows they have a much bigger mountain to climb come next month. That’s when they will contest the hugely-competitive Tranzit Coachlines Festival Tournament, an invitation they earned after finishing in the top four of the Wellington secondary schoolboys premier division competition last year. Joining them there will be the other three highest-ranked Wellington sides, St Pat’s Town, Wellington College and Rongotai College and four of the powerhouses of the secondary schools game in this country — Gisborne Boys High, Hastings Boys High, Palmerston North Boys High and Napier Boys High. Read more here

7 April: Wellington College v Feilding HS tomorrow

Update: After losing last weekend to Francis Douglas Memorial College, the Wellington College First XV plays its second match of the season in its 150th year tomorrow at home versus Feidling High School. This is an annual traditional fixture and kick-off is scheduled for 2.30pm (TBC). Meanwhile,  Scots College were due to host Palmerston North Boys' High School tomorrow afternoon but this fixture has been cancellled and St Pat's Town hosts Marlborough Boys' College at 10.30am on Sunday.
